| Bart Mazzarella ("The Bartman")
Development Associate
Bart went by the name Bob Marx during a long career in secular radio and
television in Connecticut from
January 1968-July 1983. Eight of those years were spent as
mid-day disc jockey and sports director at the first FM
stereo radio station in the nation, WDRC in Hartford. Bart also served as the network voice of ESPN from 1984-1987.
Bart came to a personal relationship with Jesus shortly after moving to Florida in 1987. He has
served in youth and singles
ministries at his church in Vero Beach.
He also has led and hosted a weekly
Life Group at his home since
September 2006.
He became Christian
FM's voice in the morning on Labor
Day weekend 1991 and served in that
position through 2005. You've probably
heard and seen him on local TV and
radio commercials, film narration,
or as the emcee of concerts, banquets, and local charity events.
He is a founding board
member and vice president of Vero
Beach Christian Business Association
and on the board of Framework
Productions ministry.
The Bartman's favorite past-time is exercising at
the Jungle Club, playing guitar (he had a hit record in 1967 with "Detroit Soul"), and hanging out with his best friend and wife of
40+ years, Kas (who also was his high-school sweetheart).
